Radio Production Project

Dave runs the Radio project along with a number of Project Scotland volunteers. We have a top of the range mobile radio recording studio which uses the latest software. Young people on YMCA programmes use the radio equipment to produce music programmes create podcasts on subjects that interest them.

They recorded a “hustings” with prospective MSPs for YMCA Scotland in March 2007 and have done projects on music and one to mark the 200th anniversary of the abolition of the slave trade in the UK.

The Radio Project gives young people a great opportunity to gain new skills in an exciting and engaging way.
