Quality Assurance

Perth and District YMCA, as an affiliated member of YMCA Scotland, is subject to a five yearly quality assurance audit called “Working Towards Excellence”. This involves the organization in providing a self evaluation against 10 given criteria. This report is then considered by a group of three external assessors.

The external assessors are made of two from other YMCAs and one who is external to YMCA as an organization but who has experience in the field of work in which YMCA operates.

The external assessors then visit the local YMCA and make their own report against the ten criteria and recommend to YMCA Scotland whether or not the local YMCA should be given the YMCA Scotland Working Towards Excellence Award.

We achieved this award in 2007.
