This is our mentoring project for 16 to 25 years olds. We provide 1 to 1 mentoring support for young people who are actively working towards sustained employment and young people who are in work but need that extra support sustaining employment. If you are working hard towards finding and sustaining a job and need that positive influence in your life to keep you motivated supported in your efforts then maybe a Youthworks mentor is what you are looking for. Likewise, if you have already got a job but you are new to the work of work and feel a bit unsure about the nuances of the work place then a Youthworks mentor can help you get settled and keep you right.
It’s a flexible form of support designed to give you a source of guidance from someone who has already taken the journey into employment that you are just starting out on. They have been there, done that and understand the questions you might have.
If mentoring is not quite what you are looking for but you would appreciate some regular support then you are welcome to take part in our monthly group sessions. These are about creating a sense of community amongst young people on a similar journey to you. Groups sessions may cover important life lessons such as budgeting, Tenancy rights, Mental wellbeing and sometimes it’s just about creating a social space for you to build relationships with new people.
