This is a fantastic opportunity for young people 18 – 25 years old who have been unemployed for a while. They can get a job for 6 months working 25 hours a week and getting a normal wage. The staff at YMCA will provide all the young people with support to develop the skills and capacities they need to operate in a normal working environment. The idea is that after the 6 months participants will be ready to move on to full time employment, College or a training course. At YMCA in Perth there are opportunities to work in retail, in multi media production or in clothes design and production printing T shirts and sweatshirts for home and abroad. there are also opportunities to gain experience in Youthwork and in Grounds maintenance.
