Forty Developmental Assets

In partnership with Paisley YMCA we are involved in developing the use of the “Forty Developmental Assets” in Scotland. This is a Community Development Tool which has been developed and used extensively in North America but its use in Scotland will be its first use outside of North America.

In the autumn of 2007 we conducted a detailed survey of 4,000 young people in Perthshire secondary schools which created a detailed report of how they see themselves, their school and their community. We intend to use this as the basis to support funding for additional staff to implement the use of the Forty Developmental Assets approach more widely in the community.
